The Leaders Circle is ​a Lyrasis program for our most active, visionary and forward-thinking members — those who are not content waiting for innovations to come to them, but instead want to actively shape the future. Composed of more than 100 Lyrasis members and thought leaders, the Leaders Circle is committed to helping build innovative programs, services and solutions by establishing standards, fair pricing and governance that will impact the broader community. Leaders Circle participants include senior professionals in archives, public and academic libraries and museums. Leaders Circle membership is open to all existing Lyrasis members at a slightly higher membership rate than the institutional membership. Lyrasis Research projects that had direct input from the Learning Circle members have included projects on Research Information Management, the open source software landscape in American libraries and understanding the scope of DEIA in American libraries. Additional funding sourced from Leaders Circle has helped Lyrasis launch the following programs.

Lyrasis Learning

Designed and built with direct input from the Leaders Circle and the Lyrasis membership community, Lyrasis Learning is a professional development solution that impacts the entire library, archive or museum with online training that focuses on practical knowledge and understanding in rapidly evolving technological landscapes. Lyrasis Learning is now provided as a benefit to all members.

Catalyst Fund

The Catalyst Fund is an award program that provides support for new ideas and innovative projects that advance the mission and reach of Lyrasis member organizations. Initiated by the Leaders Circle, the Fund expands opportunities to explore, test, refine and collaborate on innovations with potential for community-wide impact. All Lyrasis members can propose or become a reviewer and vote for which proposals are funded each year.
