We are pleased to share that the Lyrasis Open Access Community Investment Program (OACIP) is now supported by a newly established Advisory Board. The OACIP Advisory Board provides strategic guidance and expertise to help shape the program’s long term direction and ensure that it remains responsive to the needs of the communities it serves. We are grateful to the following colleagues for contributing their time and insight to support the ongoing success of OACIP:

  • Jason Colman, Michigan Publishing Services
  • Jessica Dallaire-Clark, Érudit
  • Jocelyn Dawson, University of Pennsylvania Press
  • Ashley Farley, Gates Foundation
  • Laura Hanscom, MIT Libraries
  • Malavika Legge, Open Access Scholarly Publishing Association (OASPA)
  • Kate McCready, Big Ten Academic Alliance Center for Library Programs
  • Catherine Mitchell, California Digital Library
  • Jeff Pooley, University of Pennsylvania and mediastudies.press
  • Judy Ruttenberg, Association of Research Libraries

For those unfamiliar with OACIP, Lyrasis launched the program in 2020 to provide a community-driven framework and the necessary administrative infrastructure to enable libraries and other organizations to invest directly in high quality Diamond Open Access journals. Our 2025-2026 cycle is currently underway, and it will run through July 31, 2026. We are seeking three-year funding commitments for the nine journals in this year’s cohort, and we also welcome contributions to our OACIP General Fund. Learn more about OACIP at lyrasis.org/oacip.
